How to Play

Objective

The computer picks a secret number within a range. Your goal is to guess it in as few attempts as possible. After each guess, you'll be told whether the secret number is higher or lower.

Difficulty Levels

Easy: Number between 1 and 50
Medium: Number between 1 and 100
Hard: Number between 1 and 500

Controls

Type your guess and press Enter or click Guess
N — New Game

Tips

Use binary search: always guess the middle of the remaining range
On Easy (1–50), you can always win in 6 guesses or fewer
On Medium (1–100), 7 guesses is optimal worst case
On Hard (1–500), 9 guesses is optimal worst case
Watch the range bar narrow as you eliminate possibilities
